The Calumet Detachment #92 is the oldest Marine Corps League detachment in Indiana. established in the 1940’s. Dedicated to growing our membership of local and at large Marines in order to fulfill the Marine Corps league mission according to  General LeJeune’s  vision  in 1923. We do this through participation in community events while hosting events  at the local Marine Corps League property that is located in Merrillville Indiana. We also nurture relationships with active duty Marines.

The Calumet Detachment  is Northwest Indiana and Chicago South Suburban premier Marine Corps Veteran’s organization that focuses on furthering the bond and brotherhood we share as United States Marines and FMF Corpsmen.   Our ages range from those who are in their early 20’s and just “got out” to our oldest member who is a China Marine. We can be found supporting local veteran’s related causes, participating in parades, hosting Marine Corps related events, or simply getting together and sharing the brotherhood.

We enjoy taking Marine Corps related trips together traveling to places like the Marine Corps Museum, Quantico, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, and Marine Barracks DC.  These trips never fail to deliver with the perfect balance of USMC history and the shenanigans we have grown to love.
